It all started in the small town of Gerlach, Nevada back in 1999, where Jennifer was approached by one of the locals about painting. He had been looking for an Elvis on the cross on black velvet for years........intrigued, she decided to give it a try and Juanita was born!

Juanita now lives in Portland, Oregon where she creates her magic on Black Velvet. While mostly painting American pop culture and kitschy portraits, she always welcome commissions. She will paint just about anything on velvet, pet portraits, personal portraits, cars, food, anything you can dream up!
